The redesign and renovation of the consular section is based on one main principle. Transparency between staff and visitors as well as a representation of a transparent process was sought. For that reason enclosed functions like meeting rooms, and single offices were arranged in form of semi transparent boxes to form a village (Kampung) like configuration and in between space. A yellow (visitors) and blue (staff) perimeter circulation system was added which additionally creates buffer and waiting zones.
