Bead House
The exhibition is themed along the notion of "houses without doors". Since the warm and moist climate in Indonesia asks for shading and natural ventilation we also got rid of the walls. What remains are layers of strings with beads or "veils" which vary in density according to privacy requirements. This leads to a new way of using a building and individual "rooms" where the boundaries in terms entering but also visually are ambiguous.
