Taman Gajah

The Taman Gajah (Elephant Park) at the center of the City Bandar Lampung is currently vacant apart from food stalls at the perimeter and a local artist colony. It is intended to transform the area into a children’s Park which takes the current functions into consideration. The artists and food stalls will be located towards the livelier road and in the back there will be a bamboo maze which acts as an educational pop-up book for children. The central element spatially as well as thematically is a large elephant-bamboo-playground sculpture. The elephant theme can be expanded with the help of local artist for city branding.
